ABOUT FLORA CONSCIOUSNESS

A fundamental element of
achieving optimum health
is overlooked in mainstream medicine:
the balance of our bodies' natural microbial flora.

As our planet has become increasingly polluted,
so have our bodies.
Nature has been disregarded.

Human ability to dominate and control nature
has been valued above
learning how to live in harmony with nature.

Our bodies,
which are also a part of nature,
are suffering for it.

Our bodies have a beautiful array of
living flora that is essential for life.

Some of the flora naturally living in our bodies
help us with digestion, immune function
& keeping harmful, pathogenic microbes
from growing out of control.

This delicate balance can be disrupted
from pollutants & parasites.

Pollutants like unnatural chemicals in pharmaceutical drugs,
and many products we use in the modern age,
kill beneficial flora, giving harmful flora the
opportunity to grow.

Can help you
purify your body
of unwanted pollutants, &
restore your body's optimal balance of flora.

Reclaim your body

Diet plays a crucial part.
I've created hundreds of dishes to satisfy all your cravings, without satisfying the microbes
whose population you're working to reduce!

“I developed Flora Consciousness from over two decades of education and intensive experience. After learning of the hidden epidemic of dysbiosis* on our planet in this age, that affects an estimated 90% of people in industrialized countries to some degree, I saw a critical need for the knowledge of flora consciousness to be made more readily available, both to individuals and those working in the health care profession. Most health care professionals today still don’t seem to understand the importance of a healthy microbiome, and mainstream medicine, in general, has only been catching up to the knowledge of it in about the last ten years or so. It’s a vitally important consideration, as dysbiosis* hampers life in all directions, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

“Physically, dysbiosis* impairs the body’s ability to function at optimal levels, and in more extreme cases, can cause it to basically begin to decompose while one is still alive. It produces toxins in the body that tax the liver and other elimination systems, causing chronic fatigue and a host of other problems.

“Mentally, dysbiosis* creates an enormous amount of havoc. The toxins it produces in the body outright destroy neurotransmitters, which affect one’s memory, problem solving capabilities, executive functions and overall ability to think. It destroys our ability to concentrate, and is at the root cause of a lot of cases of ADHD in this day and age.

“Emotionally, dysbiosis* causes much unneeded stress. In destroying neurotransmitters, it impairs one’s ability to properly process traumatic events, or even normal stressors throughout the day. This can even cause trauma to come up from the past that has already been processed and put away already.

“Spiritually, dysbiosis* affects one’s ability to progress due to the destruction or neurotransmitters its toxins cause. For instance, if one’s spiritual practice involves meditation, the ability to meditate can be severely impaired or made impossible. In order to meditate, one must concentrate one’s attention. In order to concentrate, one must have an adequate amount of neurotransmitters. Dysbiosis produces toxins that destroy neurotransmitters. Trying to meditate in such conditions is like trying to walk when one is paralyzed. You can’t get very far. Destruction of neurotransmitters can also cause a short temper and other problems that can hinder one’s spiritual cultivation.

“Being conscious of the flora in our bodies and taking care of them, nurturing the flora we want to grow in our bodies and discouraging the ones that we don’t want to grow, can create an enormous boon for an individual in all four aspects of one’s being - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. In this age, flora consciousness is imperative in staying healthy and living a happy life.

“One of the obstacles that many face in being flora conscious is in maintaining the dietary disciplines required to cultivate a healthy balance of flora in the body. That is one of the main reasons I created Flora Consciousness and Iah Foods - to make this aspect of being conscious of the flora within our bodies as easy and accessible to people as possible.

“I learned about this first hand through my own experience healing myself of dysbiosis after a 12 year battle! Due to iatrogenic injuries that destroyed my microbiome, I developed severe systemic candida and mold illness in my early 20s.

“At first, I did what most people would do - I saw a doctor. However, it seemed impossible to find the help I needed, because they seem to know so little about treating systemic fungal infections like candida. No one advised me that I would be going through die-off symptoms, also known as Herxheimer Reactions** and I wasn’t advised about very many dietary changes that are absolutely imperative to heal, either.

“I learned on my own about what to do, however, through researching publications written by knowledgeable health care practitioners and from my own trial and error. When I was first affected by it, it was the late 90s and the year, 2000, so I never really used the Internet that much, yet. All of my research came from studying books, talking to staff in the wellness department of natural food stores and some healthcare practitioners that were helpful along the way.

“When I first had to start implementing dietary changes, I was a nursing mother, as well! It took me about a year to master the discipline required to stay on a restricted diet. I did pretty well most of the time during that first year, but it’s really easy to convince yourself in the moment that something is okay to eat, when it’s really not. Then, you end up regretting it afterwards when you’re sick and in pain.

“I got very ill when my daughter was only 5 days old, in October of 1999. Over the 12 years that it took me to get completely well after that, I didn’t have an abundance of resources and money, or it may not have taken so long. In 2001, I was severely exposed to mold as well, which caused my problems to migrate to my head and respiratory system. After that, I found that I could no longer even breathe in particles from the foods I could not eat on a candida diet without having a major relapse. I also discovered that flower pollen caused relapses too, after bringing an iris flower home one day and keeping it in my room. It makes sense - pollen is where honey comes from and is sweet. I developed severe Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and other environmental sensitivities due to that mold exposure while having systemic candida.

“The reason I could no longer breathe in particles from anything sweet, fermented or fungal, including flower pollen and sweet-smelling chemicals was because the mold exposure caused the infection to spread and embed itself in my head and respiratory system. Not only did I need to restrict my diet in order to get well, I also had to control what was in the air I breathed! That was the hardest part. It’s a LOT easier to control what’s in the food you eat than it is what’s in the air you breathe. I had so many relapses just from accidentally breathing in something that feed the infection and made it grow back inside my head and respiratory system. I would make so much progress and be doing really well and then get exposed to something sweet, fermented or fungal, and lose every bit of progress in getting the fungi out of my tissues that I had made and worked really hard at in the previous months. That happened over and over and over again, no matter how disciplined nor careful I was.

“Because the necessity of staying in a protected environment free of food sources for fungi, even in the air you breathe, seems to elude a lot of people, I’ve included this video where Paul Stamets explains the science behind how fungi will grow towards a food source in its environment (such as the environment of your body) and then begin multiplying at the site of the food source. “It was quite a journey of discovery after that. I tried just about every natural anti-fungal substance you can possibly think of, in addition to several synthetic anti-fungals. They all helped, but it wasn’t until I discovered ozone therapy and got myself into a situation in which I could work from home and stay in a protected environment for long enough so I could more easily control in order to keep food sources out of the air that would cause me to relapse, that I was finally able to make enough progress towards getting well. By the end of 2007, I no longer had debilitating environmental sensitivities anymore, and I was able to expand my diet a bit to include slightly sweeter things like carrots and corn. My environmental sensitivities were still present, but not to the point where I had to wear a mask in stores anymore, and exposures didn’t take me out completely for weeks at a time.

“It took me some more time after that to completely get well, because I needed to work full time outside of my home. I couldn’t keep up with ozone therapy in the way I needed while working, but I was at least well enough to where I could live my life more freely than I had since the 90s. In 2010, I was able to begin more intensive treatments again, and in 2011, I did a very intensive probiotic therapy. After that, I successfully ate berries again for the first time in 12 years! In the months afterwards, I also successfully began eating other fruits and lots of things I hadn’t had in so long, without any problems at all! This included treats made with maple syrup, cacao, coconut and lots of wonderful things like that. I still followed a balanced diet and didn’t overdo it, but I was free! My environmental sensitivities were barely present at all anymore. I owe it all to ozone therapy, Dr. Ohhira’s probiotics, the strictest phase of Dr. Gabriel Cousens’ raw plant food diet that he outlines in his book, Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine and being able to stay in a controlled environment without breathing in any food sources for the infection that would make it grow, for long enough to get it all the way out of my system.

HOW I HEALED BEFORE, IN SHORT

(1) Medical ozone therapy plus other antifungal support like colloidal silver & various herbs

(2) Antifungal, alkaline, flora conscious raw plant food diet

(3) Air I breathed kept free of particles that feed fungi and make it grow for long enough to get it out of my tissues (mine had spread to my respiratory system and head after mold exposure)

(4) Dr. Ohhira's probiotics with intensive 8 week treatment at end of 15 a day

(5) Hydrotherapy: 20 gallon a day colemas for 3 weeks followed by probiotic implants

(6) 3 Day Metamorphosis that includes 3 day fast & liver & gall bladder flush & colemas, with phosphorus drops for 2 weeks preceding it to break apart sediment in the liver & gall bladder.

(7) 4 more days of fasting after those 3 days drinking only 3 shakes of aloe vera juice, psyllium seed husks and ground flax seeds a day, and peyote on the 5th day of the 7 day (total) fast

“During the twelve years it took me to figure out how to get well and then apply my knowledge, I developed a multitude of amazing dishes and desserts, mastering a flora conscious diet. My body was also my laboratory; I have first-hand experience about what does and doesn’t work, on very intense and intimate levels. I have been so shocked over the years to read or hear doctors’ advice for systemic candida and other systemic fungal infections that made no sense at all! There’s a lot of conflicting information out there, and I feel like it was my destiny to go through this experience so I could learn exactly what’s needed to help others.

“I invite you to check out all the services I offer here in hopes that they can help you live the beautiful, fulfilling and energized life that is your birthright! If you have any questions, reach out to me at any time at the.strongfoundation@icloud.com.

*Dysbiosis - an imbalance of the body’s natural microbial flora. Humans have ten times as many microbes in our bodies as we do human cells. Due to their small size, however, they only make up about 2 - 3% of our entire bodies’ mass. Harsh chemicals destroy beneficial flora, causing destructive flora to take over. A healthy microbiome with the right balance of flora is the root of all health.

**Herxheimer Reactions - named after the doctors who initially described the typical symptoms experienced during treatment for certain infections, it is caused by the body being flooded with toxins produced by the microorganisms, when dying off. With dysbiosis, fungal infections, like candida, are common. When candida and other fungal infections die, they release MORE toxins into your body that they did while living - this is their defense mechanism. If you get too sick to defend yourself, it can have more of a chance to take over. Fungi release over 90 different toxins, called mycotoxins, that are some of the most toxic chemicals on the planet. Many are solvent-like toxins that the liver can’t break down. Therefore, the body tries to eliminate them in other ways, through the lymph system, which pushes them out through the skin. They also cause numerous other symptoms, similar to what you would experience if you got drunk from drinking alcohol and woke up with a bad hangover - headache, nausea, memory issues, quick-anger, confusion, depression, anxiety, loss of executive functions, chronic fatigue, rashes and more.
